First Successful Heave Compensated Lifeboat Installation

Historically, lifeboat change out operations have required redundant lifeboats to be lowered into, and replacement lifeboats to be lifted from, the sea. Such operations are weather dependent and involve personnel entering the lifeboats whilst afloat, to assist with lifting arrangements. TSG Marine offered an innovative alternative; transferring the lifeboats directly to and from a platform supply vessel (PSV).
