TSG Marine have been Awarded an Armed Forces Covenant, Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award. One of 100 gold awards given out in 2019, and one of only 29 awarded to SMEs. In an announcement Defence Secretary Ben Wallace said:
“These awards recognise the outstanding support for our armed forces from employers across Britain and I would like to thank and congratulate each and every one. Regardless of size, location or sector, employing ex-forces personnel is good for business and this year we have doubled the number of awards in recognition of the fantastic support they give.”
The awards are due to be presented in November 2019 at the National Army Museum in London. Erika Leadbeater, Operations Director at TSG Marine said:
“We are honoured to receive the Armed Forces Covenant, Employee Recognition Scheme Gold Award for our commitment to helping current and former members of the armed forces.
For us this award recognises not just what the business has done for those who have served, but also what they have done for us. Thank you to every one of the service/ex-service personnel who have come through our doors; for work, for training or just for a chat. You demonstrate everyday (in our business or now in others) that employing veterans works. We are very grateful for what you have taught us and for the contribution you have made to our business.”
